there was no airport shuttle as announced. The distance from airport was far, there was no bus, the cabs did not know the location. The hotel was locked when I arrived, no reception, no guard, no public phone.

Check in and Cjeck out was extremely simple. We did not see a single person during our stay. This, however may have been a problem if we needed assistance from a staff member.
The hotel room was dirty and dusty.

I had an excellent room, could sleep 4 people and very quiet and comfortable. A fabulous new shower and toilet. Great facilities. I stayed there because of closeness to Prince of Wales Hospital as I was going in for an operation the following morning, so I was far less stressed by staying at this lodge for the night. Good value.

Location and cleaniness of the rooms.
Lack of parking available. Walls were thin as we had neighbours in the next room whom kept talking till early hours of the night.

Leaving.
I arrived to a deserted office at 8am after a 40 hour trip from the us, and called the hotel number. Someone named Julie answered, from a different hotel, and said there wouldn't be anyone there until 10am. I asked if I could stow my bags before checking in. She said no, it wasn't her responsibility. Nobody turned up until after 11am; well, one of the staff members (I later found out) walked by, but he denied working there. wtf! Another employee refused to let me look for a medical item I'd left behind in the fridge after checking out. Absolutely incomprehensibly bad service. The rooms were ugly and dirty. Long hairs in the bathroom, rust on the faucets, *and* to top it off, there was blood on the sheets of one of the twin beds in my room.
